Prof. Hongxun Yao
She is the tenured professor and doctoral supervisor at Harbin Institute of Technology. The main research areas are computer vision intelligence, multimedia data analysis and understanding, video surveillance, and emotional computing. She is the executive director of the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics, the director of the Emotional Computing and Understanding Committee, the executive director of the Heilongjiang Artificial Intelligence Society, and the member of the Multimedia Committee of the Chinese Computer Society. She has published more than 200 academic papers in top international conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, MM, and high-impact factor international journals such as TPAMI, IJCV, TIP, TMM, with over 10,000 citations. She has trained dozens of postgraduates, including 3 "Excellent Ph.D." papers from the school and society, 2 provincial "Excellent Master" thesis awards, and more than ten provincial excellent graduates. Graduated Ph.D. become professors, associate professors, or technical backbones. There are also those who run companies of considerable sizes or serve as officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
